Sustainable Solutions Kenya is a community-centered organization dedicated to advancing sustainable development and building resilient communities across Health, WASH, Environmental Conservation, Clean Energy, Human Rights, Regenerative Agriculture, and Climate Adaptation. We design and implement community-driven initiatives that actively involve local stakeholders, ensuring ownership, sustainability, and long-term impact.
Operating in Kisumu, Kisii, Vihiga, Siaya, and Homa Bay Counties, we empower communities to access clean water, sanitation, and hygiene, strengthen health systems, and adopt clean energy solutions that reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable livelihoods. Through regenerative agriculture, including biochar production via pyrolysis and “Biochar to Basket” initiatives, we improve soil health, boost productivity, and create income-generating opportunities for smallholder farmers.
We are committed to environmental conservation, with a special focus on Lake Victoria, implementing programs that restore wetlands, reduce pollution, and support sustainable fishing practices. Our work in climate adaptation equips communities to manage climate risks, adopt resilient practices, and strengthen livelihoods against environmental shocks.
Through advocacy, human rights initiatives, and community-level paralegal clinics, we ensure marginalized groups have access to justice, voice, and equitable opportunities. By combining local knowledge, innovative solutions, and global best practices, we drive measurable social, economic, and environmental outcomes, creating a sustainable and resilient future for communities across Western Kenya.
