Expanding Access to Renewable Energy for Healthier & Resilient Communities

Millions of Kenyans lack access to clean, affordable energy, relying on harmful fossil fuels and biomass for cooking, lighting, and heating. This has devastating effects on health, the environment, and economic opportunities.

Our Clean Energy for Sustainable Development program provides safe, sustainable, and affordable energy solutions by:

  • Providing Off-Grid Solar Solutions: Installing solar home systems, community solar grids, and solar-powered water pumps in rural areas.
  • Scaling Biogas & Clean Cooking Technologies: Promoting biogas digesters and energy-efficient cookstoves to reduce indoor air pollution and deforestation.
  • Energy Education & Awareness: Training households, businesses, and schools on energy conservation, renewable energy entrepreneurship, and sustainable practices.
  • Advocating for Renewable Energy Policies: Working with government and private sector stakeholders to accelerate Kenya’s transition to a low-carbon economy.

Our Impact

  • Reduced carbon emissions, improving air quality and slowing climate change.
  • Improved household health, reducing respiratory illnesses linked to cooking with firewood and charcoal.
  • Expanded economic opportunities, enabling businesses and households to invest in clean energy.
