At Sustainable Solutions Kenya (SUSOK), we promote Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) to help smallholder farmers build resilience to climate change while increasing food security, protecting the environment, and improving livelihoods. Our approach emphasizes awareness creation, practical training, and ongoing farmer support to make sustainable farming accessible and effective.

• What We Do
  Community Awareness and Climate Education
  We engage communities through barazas, school clubs, local radio, and print materials to raise awareness on climate change, its impact on agriculture, and the benefits of CSA.
• Farmer Training and Field Demonstrations We offer hands-on training and farmer field schools on sustainable practices such as crop diversification, organic composting, water conservation, and integrated pest management.
• Access to Resilient Farming Inputs
  We support farmers with drought-tolerant seeds, improved livestock breeds, and eco-friendly farm inputs suited to local conditions and changing climate patterns.
• Soil and Water Management Techniques
  We promote mulching, terracing, cover cropping, and rainwater harvesting to improve soil health, reduce erosion, and enhance water use efficiency.
• Agroforestry and Regenerative Practices
  We integrate tree planting into farming systems—boosting soil fertility, diversifying incomes, and restoring ecosystems.
• Extension Support and Digital Tools
  We work with lead farmers and local agricultural officers to provide continuous guidance. We also connect farmers to mobile platforms for weather updates, planting tips, and market information.
